Parcels are collected by a courier van and transported back to their depot for processing. Parcels are grouped and those travelling to the same state will be loaded onto a larger truck for interstate line haul. When parcels arrive at the interstate depot they are again sorted before being despatched onto a smaller courier van for delivery to their destination. Same day interstate couriers usually use allocations on air transport services.
